Lake, WA Darlene Chase 208-798-0763 July 17-20 NQHA Summer Circuit - Elko, NV July 23-27 The 2007 Regional Experience was held at the Idaho Center and Horse Park in Nampa, Idaho, This was the third year for this Regional event, which grew 28% over the previous year, recording the second largest growth in
AQHA.
We are fortunate to have a great Regional Experience Committee made up of members from each of the five Affiliates in your Region. This team, made up of diverse individuals from many different locations gives your Regional Committee a unique mixture of experience and successes that combine to make the Regional Experience a special event.
The hospitality begins with early morning coffee, donuts and newspaper delivered to your door or barn, to apples and water at the warm up area, to socials and parties in the evenings. The clinics, shopping, shoe shine stand, games, drawings, karaoke, cheering sections. Day at the
races, test rides, and special events help make the "Experience" a warm and entertaining family event.
The goal is to have a World Class event with equine related experiences that are inclusive and enjoyable to exhibitors, their families and the
general public. This is an event in progress and each year your Committee is dedicated to improve the "Experience while building an entertaining
event that everyone can enjoy.
Your Committee is motivated by the positive feedback, yet takes note where improvements can, and will be made to the programs. We are both proud and pleased with the facilities and the great working relations we have with the facility management and business community.
Nampa is located on Interstate 84 and the facilities are conveniently located near an exit, close to great stores, amenities and restaurants.
The are is easy to navigate, has great weather, and a wealth of recreational opportunities. Water parks, movie theaters, shopping,
golf, tennis, fly fishing, white water rafting, and site seeing are just a few of the available activities. Motels are close and friendly while
the facility has RV parking available.
Regional Championships are awarded and there is an abundance of opportunities to compete for over $130,000 of awards and prizes in the
event of your choice.
The Regional Experience this year has been expanded to five days and will be held July 23, thru July 27, Following the event, there will be
an AQHA approved Quarter Horse Show. Bring the whole family to make a holiday of your trip to Nampa, and maybe take in the beautiful countryside with the AQHA Trail Ride. Last year many went to see the Toby Keith Show, while at the Regional Experience.
This is a great event for youth as exhibitors, spectators, and interactive participants in equine related activities. The Regional Experience is designed to be a family friendly event while delivering rewarding competitive and learning opportunities.
